Information you give us
Quote form
When you request a quote on our quote page we ask for:
- your full name, email address, phone number and vehicle registration (all required)
- your postcode or town (optional)
- the service you need, chosen from a list
- any additional information you choose to give us about the problem
Contact form
When you send a message on our contact page we ask for your full name, email address, phone number and vehicle registration (all required), a subject chosen from a list and your message.
Information sent with each form
Each form also sends the address of the page it was sent from and a security code that helps protect the form from misuse. Both forms include a hidden field that people never see, which helps us block automated spam.
Phone calls and emails
If you call us or email us using the links on this site, we receive the details you give us in that call or email, along with your phone number or email address.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- to identify your van and check its engine code from the registration, so our advice and quote match your vehicle
- to arrange and carry out any work you book with us
- to help us plan your booking, if you give your postcode or town on the quote form (this field is optional)
Cookies and site measurement
When you first visit, a banner asks whether we may use cookies to measure visits to this site and how our adverts perform. You can choose Accept or Decline.
Until you accept, the site tells Google not to store analytics or advertising cookies. If you accept, the site uses the Google tag, added through the Google Site Kit plugin, to measure visits. It also records when someone taps a phone number, taps an email link or sends one of our forms, so we can see which pages lead to enquiries.
The site sets these cookies of its own:
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| blc_consent | Remembers whether you chose Accept or Decline on the cookie banner | 180 days |
| blc_lead | Set after you send a form so the site can record that a form was sent. It holds the form type only. | Deleted as soon as it has been read |
If you accept, Google also sets its own analytics cookies. Google explains how it uses this information on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can change your choice at any time by opening our cookie settings, or by deleting the cookies for this site in your browser.
The map on our contact page
Our contact page shows an embedded Google Map of our location. The map is loaded from Google when the page opens, so Google receives information such as your IP address and may set its own cookies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Who we share your information with
Messages from our quote and contact forms are sent to us through this website. If you accept measurement cookies, information about your visit is processed by Google, as described above, and the map on our contact page is loaded from Google.
Keeping your information secure
This website uses a secure HTTPS connection, so the details you send through our forms are encrypted while they travel to us.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to how we use it
- ask for information you gave us to be passed to you or another organisation in a reusable format
- withdraw your consent to measurement cookies at any time
To use any of these rights, email info@copthornetransitcentre.co.uk, call 01293 245494 or write to us at the address above.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through the ICO website.
