The Ford 2.0 EcoBlue engine features an internal oil pump driven by a 'wet' belt that runs inside the engine oil. Over time, the rubber material of this belt can degrade, especially if the wrong oil is used or service intervals are missed. This degradation leads to rubber debris breaking off and clogging the oil pickup pipe.
